Meet Miss King

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I grew up in Gastonia, North Carolina, which is about 20 minutes outside of Charlotte. I grew up with a very large family; I am the second youngest of three sisters and one brother. I value my family very much and I love having them near me; I actually live with my youngest sister here in Raleigh. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I graduated from Meredith College with a major in Child Development and I went on to complete my K-6 Licensure in teaching. After graduating, I started my career as an assistant teacher in kindergarten at Durant. Within a few months, I was offered a kindergarten teaching position on Track 3 for the remainder of the year. For the next school year, I was placed in second grade and was excited to be in this specific position because I completed my student teaching in second grade. I taught second grade on Track 2 for 3 years and I have taught on Track 4 for 3 years as well. I am very excited that our whole school is moving to Track 4!
